Cause

The software used a temporary directory for various actions and there is Insufficient space on the chosen disk for those actions:

• Build backup server data index.
• Build backup source data index.
• Store delta files (the In-file-delta) from larger data files
• Temporary store copies of data
• Compressing data
• Encrypting data

Solution

Backup Software client

You can specify the temporary directory to be used per backupset in the software.
For backups not using VSS the temporary directory can become as large as 1,5x times the largest file in the backup.

1. Start the software.
2. Go to Backup Sets.
3. Click on the backupset you want to change.
4. Click on the text link "Show advanced settings" below the menu option Destination.
5. Click on the last menu option Others.
6. Here you can change the temporary directory.
7. Click on Save, bottom right.

Backup Server (cloud2cloud)

The temporary folder on the backup server is monitored and grows if more space is needed for the backup tasks.
If the server is very busy, this may not happen fast enough and an occasional error may occur.
If this error occurs regularly, please contact support.
