Cause

When the backup begins the software will copy the data to a temporary directory to look for changes, compress the data and encrypt it before sending it yo our backup servers.
To guarantee restoration the software will check the data in the temporary directory for corruption.
When this check fails the software will give a CRC error message and the named file will not be included in the backup.

It is possible that chkdsk does not indicate anything during a check. To be sure, check the Windows event logs to see if any bad blocks have been found.
