Explanation
When your system is infected by with ransomware/cryptolocker such as Locky or Petya, you want to restore the most recent backup.
Follow the next steps to restore the backup if you became victm of a cryptolocker.
- When infected: disable the backup schedule as soon as possible. You can do this in the software, portal or Mindtime Mindtime Management System.
- Your system needs to be clean: so the cryptolocker has to be deleted entirely.
- Install the backup software and connect with your backup account.
- Restore the data using the software client. Keep an eye on possible path changes.
It's also possible to restore date using the webinterface (customer portal) or using the software client on an other system. In this case you log in with your backup account credentials.
