Solution

With the introduction of V9, in-file delta is no longer an option, so it is no longer possible to choose to make a full backup during the backup process.
In-file delta has been replaced by deduplication.

Deduplication must be temporarily disabled which then forces a full backup:

  1. Start the backup client
  2. Go to Backup Sets
  3. Select the [backup set] you want to make a full backup of
  4. Click on Show advanced settings at the bottom of the options in the left menu
  5. Click on Deduplication
  6. Set the switch at the top of the page to Off
  7. Click Save at the bottom right
Because the software is now not allowed to compare data for deduplication, the next backup will automatically be a full backup.
!! Don't forget to enable deduplication again after the full backup
