In the backup report you will see a warning after requesting VSS:

Shadow Copy Set successfully created

Cause

GoogleDrive has been updated to create a partition (usually G:\).
The older software cannot handle this virtual drive and gives a warning after which the backup continues.

Solution

This warning has been fixed in 8.5.4.91 and above.
