Ursache

This error occurs when the log sequence on the MS Exchange-server is altered by other software like NT-Backup.
So when our software executes the next backup on the MS Exchange-server, the logs don't match with what is expected.
With this "broken" chain it is impossible to restore the Exchange-server to it's last state.

Lösung

To solve this problem the other backup program has to be stopped from backupping the MS Exchange-server.
After this a Full or Differential database backup has to be made of the Exchange-server trough our software.
This has to be done because the logs are depended upon each other and the last database backup and this chain has to start anew.

Alternatives
Option 1: Database backup
U can use our software to schedule a daily incremental database backup. These backups are about the same size as a log backup and a lot less problematic.
When using this option we recommend making one Differential backup a week to ensure the accounts integrity and size.
Option 2: Differential log
The newer software also offers the option to create a log backup where our software leaves the log files after the backup.
In this case it's best to schedule our software first so it leaves the logs for the second backup software who than can remove the logs after it is finished.
