Most NAS devices run internally on a version of Linux.
De Linux version of our software might be installed on a NAS device. Because there is no specific NAS version of our software
The most important requirement for this is that the architecture must be x86, meaning the CPU has to a Atom or better and not a Marvel ARM.
For the more heavy duty NAS devices (4 drives or more) this is usually the case and they also have a minimum of 256mb ram.

By now this method is no longer needed as official support for QNAP and Synology NAS devices has been added with a much wider ranger of hardware support. See manuals or hardware requirements or contact us in case of questions.
